Easter Egg Overnight Oats Recipe
- Creme Eggs might be the most iconic Easter sweet. We created a special McCann’s recipe inspired by these rich flavors, using whole grain oats!
Ingredients
Chocolate Oats
- 1 cup McCann’s® Quick Cooking Rolled Irish Oats
- 1 cup milk of your choice
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Spiced Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Vanilla Creme
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Spice Islands Pure Vanilla Extract
Garnish
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 creme egg
- Orange Creme
- ½ cup greek yogurt
- Zest of 1 orange
- 2 drops yellow food coloring
Directions
- Chocolate Oats
Add the oats, milk, yogurt, honey, chia seeds, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Stir together. - Vanilla Creme
Beat the whipping cream and granulated sugar in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Add in vanilla extract and fold. - Orange Creme
Mix together the yogurt, orange zest, and yellow food coloring. - Final Assembly
In a sealable glass jar, layer the chocolate oats, vanilla creme, orange creme, vanilla creme, and finish with chocolate oats. Garnish with a bit of cocoa powder and a split creme egg.
